GG W Vs UP W: UP Warriorz bowling led by Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone halted Gujarat Giants to 169/6 in the third match of WPL 2023.

After winning the toss Gujarat Giants came to bat first. Sabbineni Meghana (24) and Sophia Dunkley (13) gave a solid start to the team by scoring 34 runs in 3.5 overs.

Gujarat was looking good in this match before UP's ace bowler Sophie Ecclestone came into charge and scalped Meghana in her first over. 

Gujarat was able to add just 4 more runs when Deepti dismissed Dunkley.

With two quick wickets, Giants tried to get their balance back but luck favored UP as Anjali Sarvani and Ecclestone got out Sutherland and Sushma Verma respectively. 

The batting team was looking in trouble when Harleen Deol (46 runs in 32 balls) and Ahsleigh Gardhner (25) gathered 44 runs together and a late cameo by Dayalan Hemalatha took GG to a par total of 169/6.

UP Warriorz bowling went well under World number 1 Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma who scalped 2-2 wickets each. 

Anjali Sarvani and Tahlia McGrath also bowled well and got 1-1 wicket each for their side.
