James Anderson finished with the figures of 5/62 on day 2 and became the oldest fast bowler to take a fifer in a test match in 70 years. It was his 31st five-wicket haul and 23rd at home. His 23 fifers are the fifth most by any bowler at home. 

His 7th five-wicket haul at Lord's and 4th against India at this venue saw the visitors getting bowled out for 364 on day 2. Indian bowlers struck back taking three wickets as England ended the day with 119/3.
