Hobart Hurricanes' bowlers held their nerve at the end to beat Sydney Sixers by 16 runs in the first match of Big Bash League(BBL). Sixers started their chase of 179 runs well and were cruising at one stage with only one wicket lost for 118 runs. 

James Vince top-scored with 67 runs but couldn't finish the game. He added 116 runs for the second wicket with Jack Edwards(47). 

Hurricanes bowlers led by James Faulkner came back into the game as they picked up wickets at regular intervals. Faulkner took two wickets while conceding just 22 runs in his four overs.
