ICC has announced the T20 World Cup 2021 'Team Of The Tournament', on Monday (November 15), a day after Australia defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets in the final to lift their maiden T20 World title. In this team, ICC has named Babar Azam as the captain.
Also, unsurprisingly, none of the Indian players made it to the XI. Indian team crashed out of the tournament in the Super 12 stage, after losing their first two matches against Pakistan & New Zealand. Subsequently, it shouldn't shock anyone that there are no Indians in the team.
In the team announced by ICC, there are 3 Australians, 2 English players, 2 Lankan players, 2 South Africans, 1 from New Zealand, and Pakistan's Babar Azam as the captain. Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi, the left-arm pacer from Pakistan was named as the 12th man. Here's the ICC 'Team Of The Tournament' for T20 World Cup 2021:
