Virat Kohli climbs up to the 13th position in the ICC Test Rankings after the end of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which was retained by India by 2-1.

The other Indian to be in the spot is Rishabh Pant who is pushed down to 9th rank after he missed the BGT 2023 series, while Rohit Sharma who has a satisfactory game against Australia is at the 10th rank. 

The Aussie duo of Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith retains their number 1 and number 2 rank respectively whereas Jeoe Root is at the third place in the rankings.
