IND v SL 1st Test: India Declare At 574/8; Jadeja Goes Unbeaten At 175
India vs Sri Lanka: Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja completely dominated the proceedings on the second day as the left-arm batter smacked his highest score in test cricket, and helped India posts 574/8 against Sri Lanka.
Jadeja scored 175 runs, smacking 17 fours and 3 sixes and went without getting dismissed. With his 175, Jadeja also made a record of highest score by a batter batting at #7 - #11.
Apart from Jadeja, Rishabh Pant (96), Ravi Ashwin (61) & Hanuma Vihari (58) made important contributions to put India ahead in the first test.
For Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal, Vishwa Fernando & Lasith Embuldeniya picked up 2 wickets each while Lahiru Kumara & Dhananjaya de Silva picked 1 wicket each.
