IND v SL: Kishan, Iyer Power India To 199/2 Against Sri Lanka
Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer's blistering half-centuries helped India power to 199/2 in the first innings against Sri Lanka.
On being asked to bat first, Indian openers - Ishan and Rohit Sharma - started brilliantly and scored 58 runs inside the powerplay. Ishan was the aggressor while Rohit played the second fiddle. The duo added 111 runs for the first wicket in 11.5 overs before Rohit got out at the score of 44 runs.
Ishan continued to score freely with Shreyas Iyer. The pair added another 44 runs in the next four overs before Kishan finally miscued one and got out scoring 89 runs.
Iyer took the charge and smacked 57 runs in 28 balls to help India finish on a high.
