IND vs AUS: Debutant Todd Murphy impressed one and all as he remained the sole wicket-taker for the Australian team. The off-spinner struck twice in the first session on day 2, while Indian skipper Rohit Sharma held one end as India scored 150/3 at Lunch on Day 1. 

Continuing gon 77/1, India lost night watchman Ravi Ashwin (23) in the 17th over of the day, caught in front of the wickets on the pads by Todd Murphy. 

Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed 4 overs later by the same bowler without ticking the scoreboard much. Rohit Sharma however, remained solid at one end and came in unbeaten on 85* runs. Virat Kohli (11*) is also at the crease for team India with the skipper. 

Earlier, Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss & opted to bat first against India in the 1st Test of BGT 2023. Australia were bowled out for 177 runs as Ravindra Jadeja picked a 5-for. This match is being played at VCA Stadium, Nagpur.
