IND VS AUS: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma survives the first ball off Mitchell Starc in the 3rd test match against Australia.
After winning the toss, Rohit Sharma came out to open along with Shubman Gill. The bowl was in the hands of comeback man and spearhead Mitchell Starc and it was Rohit who was facing the quicker.
The bowl pitched outside the off stump and there was a noise as the ball passed the bat. Rohit lucky got a bit of luck as a good-length ball was angled across, Rohit has a tentative poke and the ball went close to the outside edge.
Umpire Menon didn't hear anything but the ultraEdge confirmed exactly what happened. There's a spike on the UltraEdge.
Australian team got disappointed and the look on Andrew Mcdonald's face in the dressing room says it all.
The same thing happened in the fourth ball of the same over when Rohit put his bat right beside the pad but the ball swung and hit his leg, umpire Memon denied the sturdy LBW appeal and the Aussie players weren't sure to take DRS.
The bowl has to hit the stump which was clearly visible in the tracker but luck always favors the brave and twice it was Rohit Sharma.
