On a pitch where other batters had the toughest of times reaching even the 50-run mark, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has shown different temperament with his unbeaten ton as India scored 226/5 at the end of the 2nd session on Day 2. 

Rohit Sharma is at the crease, unbeaten on 118 runs with 15 fours & 2 sixes. Ravindra Jadeja is also standing strong at the crease with 34 runs, etching an unbroken partnership of 58 runs for the 6th wicket with the skipper. 

India lost two wickets in the session, Virat Kohli (12) was dismissed courtesy of an excellent catch by keeper Alex Carey, and Suryakumar Yadav was cleaned up as Nathan Lyon grabbed his first wicket of the match. 

For Australia, debutant Todd Murphy has picked up 4 wickets along with Lyon's 1 wicket. 

Australia captain Pat Cummins won the toss & opted to bat first against India in the 1st Test of BGT 2023. Australia were bowled out for 177 runs as Ravindra Jadeja picked a 5-for. This match is being played at VCA Stadium, Nagpur.
