IND vs BAN: On a flat batting-friendly surface, Indian batters had difficulty not throwing their wicket away as Bangladesh started strong in the 1st Test. India scored 85/3 at Lunch on Day 1.
Openers Shubman Gill and KL Rahul started off steadily, adding 40 runs for the 1st wicket. Shubman (20) lost his wicket to left-arm spinner Taijul Islam while attempting a sweep shot.
Five overs later, KL Rahul played on Khaled Ahmed's delivery onto the stumps and Virat Kohli (1) was dismissed by Taijul Islam the next over.
Rishabh Pant has looked good in his stay at the crease after coming in to bat at #5 and has scored 29 runs with 4 boundaries and a six. Vice-captain Cheteshwar Pujara is also at the crease with his careful 32-ball-12 run knock.
