IND vs BAN: In the 2nd ODI, captain Rohit Sharma suffered a blow to his thumb while fielding and after an assessment by the BCCI medical team, the 35-year-old was taken to a local hospital at Dhaka for scans and has flown back to Mumbai for proper treatment and will miss the upcoming 3rd ODI, while his availability for the Test series will be decided later.
Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen also complained of a stiff back after playing the 1st ODI and the BCCI medical team advised Kuldeep to rest for the 2nd ODI. Now, the pacer has been diagnosed with stress injury and is ruled out of the series. All-rounder Deepak Chahar attained a left hamstring strain during the 2nd ODI and is also ruled out of the series. Both will head to NCA to nurse their injuries and recover.
Amidst these many injuries, the Selection Committee has added Kuldeep Yadav to the Indian squad for the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh. The left-arm chinaman bowler played his last ODI against South Africa in Delhi in October, where he picked up 4 wickets for 18 runs in his 4.1 overs, along with a maiden.
