Shreyas Iyer's 67 helped India post a respectable total of 124/7 against England in the first innings.
Being put in to bat first, India faltered at the start itself as they lost three wickets - KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shikhar Dhawan inside powerplay while scoring just 22 runs.
Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer tried to steady the innings with a brief 28 run partnership. Pant looked in fine touch during his 23-ball-21 in which he reverse swept Jofra Archer's 140 kmph+ delivery for a six.
Iyer continued to play the anchor role to get India to a challenging score with his 67 off 48 balls which included eight fours and a six as wickets tumbled for India at the other end.
For England, Jofra Archer was the pick of the bowlers who took three wickets in his four overs including a wicket-maiden.
