IND vs NZ: Shubman Gill brought up his 2nd consecutive hundred as he scored a ton against New Zealand in the 1st ODI. With this, Gill completed 1,000 runs in ODIs and became the fastest Indian batter to do so. 

Prior to the match, Gill had scored 894 runs in 18 innings. As he scored his 106th run against the Kiwis, the batter completed 1,000 runs in ODIs. Fakhar Zaman completed 1,000 runs in 18 innings while Imam-ul-Haq reached the 1000-run landmark in his 19th innings. 

Amongst Indians, Gill surpassed Virat Kohli (24 innings) and Shikhar Dhawan (24 innings) to score the fastest 1,000 runs.
