Powerful Indian batting chased the 165-run target with ease to level the five-match series 1-1. Virat Kohli and debutant Ishan Kishan hit half-centuries to defeat the number one T20I side - England in 2nd T20I.
After losing KL Rahul in the first over, Kishan and Kohli struck 50 runs in the powerplay. The debutant smacked the bowlers all around the park to bring up his maiden fifty in just 28 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes.
Kohli played a typical anchor inning and supported the batsmen from one end. After Kishan's knock, Rishabh Pant too got going with a 13-ball 26.
Shreyas Iyer and Kohli easily chased down the remaining runs without taking further risks as the damage had already been done by the two young wicket-keeper batsmen.
Earlier, India put England to bat first and restricted them for 164/6 - courtesy of some clever bowling. The visitors kept guessing the pace and length of the bowlers were bowling and failed to connect the ball well.
Jason Roy top-scored with an uneasy-looking 46.
Brief Score:
England - 164/6 (Jason Roy - 46; Shardul Thakur - 2/29)
India - 166/3 (Virat Kohli - 66*)
