R Ashwin picked up Dan Lawrence on the last ball before the lunch as England slipped to 39/4 after bowling out India for 329 earlier in the first session. 

Indian bowlers were on top in the first over itself as Ishant Sharma removed Rory Burns in the first over for a duck. Dom Sibley was then picked by R Ashwin. 

Axar Patel took his maiden test wicket in the form of Joe Root who top-edged an attempted sweep shot. 

Earlier, India resumed day 2 on 300/6 with Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel on strike. 

Axar and Ishant Sharma got out in the second over of the day. Pant then slogged his way to another half-century. 

However, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Siraj couldn't support him from the other end as India got all out on 329. Pant remained not out on 58.
