Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) is set to host South Africa women's cricket team for a limited-overs series in march.
According to reports, the two teams will play five ODIs and three T20Is in a month-long series. The BCCI is likely to prefer fewer venues due to the bio-security issues. The itinerary is yet to be finalized, the BCCI source said.
"The details have been worked out and the announcement will come soon. We're coordinating with Cricket South Africa. The dates will be out soon," confirmed a BCCI Official.
The Indian women's cricket last played an international match in the World T20 final against Australia in 2020. Since then, the women cricketers were only seen in a competitive match in November 2020 while playing the Women's T20 Challenge in Sharjah.
The BCCI is also looking to recruit support staff for the women's team since the previous contracts ended a month ago. WV Raman was the head coach and Narendra Hirwani bowling coach.
