Team India have already clinched the 3-match series with a 2-0 lead and would look to clean sweep New Zealand as these two teams collide in the 3rd ODI.
IND vs NZ 3rd ODI: Match Preview:
Team India have been dominant in this series so far, and have built an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match ODI series against New Zealand. Shubman Gill has been the top scorer in the series with his blistering knock of 208 runs in the first match. While the other batters failed to score big in the 1st ODI, India had a small total in front of them in the 2nd ODI where captain Rohit Sharma scored 51 runs while Gill remained unbeaten on 40 runs to cross the winning line. With the series already in the bag, team India can experiment with their playing 11 and can bring in Rajat Patidar or Shahbaz Ahmed.
It was a bowlers' galore in the 2nd ODI as the Indian bowlers bowled out the Kiwis for just 108 runs in 34.3 overs. Mohammed Shami led the bowling with his 3 wickets including Finn Allen's wicket in the very first over of the match. Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar grabbed 2 wickets each while Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav all registered one wicket each.
New Zealand's batting has been in shambles in this series, with only Michael Bracewell stepping up with the bat. The top 4 - Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Henry Nicholls and Daryl Mitchell have been disappointing with the bat and would need to step up to avoid a clean sweep.
The bowlers also haven't had much luck in the series with Henry Shipley (3) being the top wicket-taker for the visitors. Daryl Mitchell & Mitchell Santner have 2 wickets each to their name in the series while Blair Tickner and Lockie Ferguson have managed 1 wicket each.
