In the Super Four match India came to bat after losing the toss, where batters batted well and scored a challenging total of 181/7 against Pakistan. India got a positive start as KL Rahul (28 runs in 20 balls) & Rohit Sharma (28 runs in 16 balls) partnered 51 runs in just 5.1 overs. After they fell, star batter Virat Kohli played a defining knock of 60 runs in 44 balls. Other batters also made runs but weren’t able to convert their innings into a biggy
India will be playing against Sri Lanka in a must-win match, where Rohit & company would be willing to take charge against the Lankan lions, who won their Super 4 match against Afghanistan by four wickets.
Sri Lankan batting performed well against Afghanistan. Kusal Mendis (36 runs of 19 balls), Pathum Nissanka (35 runs in 28 balls), and Gunathilaka (33 runs of 20 balls) were the leading run scorers. Earlier, Dilshan Madushanka (2/37), Theekshana (1/29), and Asitha Fernando (1/34) went well with the bowl for Sri Lanka.
