Kolkata Knight Riders after setting a target of 188 in front of Sunrisers Hyderabad, delivered a bowling performance that kept SRH in check and resulted in a 10 run win. Prasidh Krishna picked up two wickets which included the wicket of David Warner. Andre Russell bowled brilliantly in the death overs. For SRH, Manish Pandey scored 61 and Johnny Bairstow scored 55. Abdul Samad scored 19* off 8 balls but failed to reach the target.

In the first innings, Kolkata Knight Riders cruised to a score of 187/6, fuelled by Nitish Rana's 80 of 56 balls, Tripathi's 53 & Dinesh Karthik's quickfire 22 off 9 balls. For SRH, Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi both picked 2 wickets each.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain David Warner Won the toss and elected to Field first against Kolkata Knight Riders in the third match of IPL 2021. The match is being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
