Mumbai Indians comfortably defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the 24th match of the IPL 2021. Even though captain Rohit Sharma (14) departed in the 6th over, Quinton de Kock(70*) found his form and scored a quality half century to get his team to the target of 172 with 9 balls remaining. Krunal Pandya who was promoted at #4, also scored 39 runs. For RR, Chris Morris picked up two wickets.
In the first innings, RR, courtesy it’s good batting performance, were able to post 171/4 against MI. Rajasthan openers – Buttler (41) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (32) provided an opening partnership of 66 runs to get Royals off to a good start. Samson (42) and Dube (35) also played some good shots to get to the score of 171. For MI, Rahul Chahar picked up two wickets.
