Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings by 9 wickets to win their first match this season. Jonny Bairstow scored a fifty. Bairstow (63*) along with Warner (37) provided a good start. Once Warner’s wicket fell, Kane Williamson (16*) came for his first match this season, and finished the match with Bairstow. Fabian Allen was the only bowler to take a wicket for PBKS.
In the first innings, SRH bowling attack restricted DC at 120. Sunrisers’ bowler Khaleel Ahmed picked up 3 wickets. For Punjab, Shahrukh Khan and Mayank Agarwal scored 22 runs each, none of the batsmen were able to cross 20s apart from these two.
