KKR vs PBKS IPL 2022: Andre Russell displayed serious muscle power as he single-handedly led Kolkata Knight Riders to a 6-wicket win against Punjab Kings.
Coming out to bat at #6 just the 7th over itself, Russell was in power mode as he smacked unbeaten 70 runs from 31 balls with 2 fours and 8 majestic sixes to take KKR to their second win in three matches in IPL 2022.
For PBKS, Rahul Chahar was the pick of the bowlers with his 2 wickets in 4 overs for 13 runs. However, lack of support from the other end and an in-form Russell made sure KKR chased down the target of 138 in 14.3 overs, winning by 6 wickets. Kagiso Rabada and Odean Smith managed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to field first. PBKS were bowled out for a total of 137 as Umesh Yadav picked up 4 wickets. Tim Southee also picked up 2 wickets while Shivam Mavi, Sunil Narine & Andre Russell managed 1 wicket each.
