Shami struck with three wickets inside the powerplay while Varun Aaron managed a wicket in the first six overs as well to reduce LSG to 29/4. However, Deepak Hooda and Ayush Badoni etched a partnership of 87 runs in 68 balls to help Gujarat post a defendable total. 

Deepak Hooda scored 55 runs off 41 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes while Ayush Badoni partnered well with 54 runs in 41 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

For Lucknow Super Giants, Mohammad Shami picked up 3 wickets while Varun Aaron and Rashid Khan managed 1 wicket each.
