PBKS vs LSG IPL 2022: Punjab Kings managed to pull off another unlikely defeat as Lucknow Super Giants emerged victorious by 21 runs. 

For LSG, Mohsin Khan was the highest wicket-taker with 3 wickets. Krunal Pandya and Dushmantha Chameera picked up 2 wickets each while Ravi Bishnoi managed 1 wicket to restrict PBKS to 133/8 in 20 overs. 

Jonny Bairstow was the top scorer for PBKS with 32 runs in 28 balls with 5 fours. Captain Mayank Agarwal scored 25 runs in 17 balls while none of the other batters managed to cross the 20-run mark. 

In the first innings, After a good bowling performance in the middle overs and a batting collapse for the opposition, Punjab Kings halted Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 153/8 in 20 overs. 

For PBKS, Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets to his name. Rahul Chahar picked up 2 wickets while Sandeep Sharma also picked up a wicket. Punjab managed to pick up 5 wickets in 13th-16th over and absolutely demolished LSG's chances of posting a huge total.

For LSG, opener Quinton de Kock was the top scorer with 46 runs in 37 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes while Deepak Hooda scored 34 off 28 as these two etched a partnership of 85 runs for the second wicket. None of the other batters succeeded in crossing the 20-run mark.

Earlier, Punjab Kings captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss & opted to bowl first against Lucknow Super Giants in the 42nd match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
