RR vs GT IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans bowlers bowled well enough to defend a good total and thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs.

Lockie Ferguson was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets to his name, including an all-important wicket of Jos Buttler. Debutant Yash Dayal also picked up 3 wickets while Shami and Hardik Pandya managed 1 wicket each.

Jos Buttler was the highest scorer with 54 runs in 24 balls while Shimron Hetmyer scored 29 runs in 17 balls. None of the other batters stayed at the crease long enough as Rajasthan were halted to 155/9 in 20 overs. 

In the first innings, Hardik Pandya played a captain's knock as he took Gujarat Titans to 192/4 against Rajasthan Royals in the 24th match of IPL 2022. 

Pandya scored an unbeaten 87 runs off 52 balls with 8 fours & 4 sixes. Abhinav Manohar also contributed with 43 runs in 28 balls with 4 fours & 2 sixes and etched a partnership of 86 runs in 55 balls for the 4th wicket with skipper Hardik. 

David Miller played the role of finisher for Titans as he smacked 31 runs off 14 balls with 5 fours & a six after coming in to bat in the 16th over.

For Rajasthan Royals, Kuldeep Sen, Yuzvendra Chahal & Riyan Parag picked up 1 wicket each. 

Earlier, RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss & opted to bowl first against GT in the 24th match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
