Wanindu Hasaranga's four-wicket haul helped Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowl Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) out for mere 128 runs in the first inning of the 6th match of the IPL 2022.
On being asked to bat first, KKR lost three wickets inside the powerplay and made 44 runs. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals as after pacers in the powerplay, Wanindu Hasaranga ran through KKR's middle order.
Harshal Patel was introduced in the 12th over and he bowled two consecutive maiden overs to start his spell and took a wicket in each over as well.
For Kolkata, Andre Russell top-scored with 25 in 18 balls with the help of three sixes and a four. Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakaravarthy added 27 runs for the last wicket to take KKR close to the 130-run mark.
Apart from Hasaranga's four, Akash Deep took three wickets, Harshal two, and Mohammad Siraj one.
