KKR vs SRH IPL 2022: Umran Malik finally regained his form as he helped Sunrisers Hyderabad restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to 177/6 in 20 overs.
After going for plenty of runs in the last 3 matches, Umran Malik dominated the KKR batters and picked up important wickets of Ajinkya Rahane (28), Nitish Rana (26) and captain Shreyas Iyer (15).
However, Umran gave away 33 runs and was taken to the boundary multiple times by Nitish Rana and Andre Russell. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen & T Natarajan also chipped in with 1 wicket each.
For Kolkata Knight Riders, Andre Russell was the top scorer with an unbeaten 49 runs in 28 balls with 3 fours & 4 sixes. Sam Billings also contributed with 34 runs in 29 balls with 3 fours & a six as he etched a partnership of 63 runs in 44 balls for the 6th wickets after few quick wickets.
Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss & opted to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 61st match of IPL 2022. While Kolkata are almost eliminated, Hyderabad would be looking for a win to still further their chances for playoffs. This match is being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
