CSK vs KKR: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings were handed a heavy 6-wicket defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match of the IPL 2022. 

After the defeat, Ravindra Jadeja said that losing the toss was vital. aptaining in his first IPL match, Jadeja said in the post-match ceremony, 'I think dew will be vital and it will play a part. If you win the toss, you will definitely look to bowl first. In the first six overs, it was damp and in the second half, the ball was coming on.'

'We were looking to drag the game as deep as we can. Bravo bowled brilliantly and everybody did a good job with the ball. As a batting unit, we didn't get partnerships. We will try to do better next game.'

CSK will take on Lucknow Super Giants in their second match on March 31st at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
