Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs in the 12th match of the IPL 2022. LSG defended 170 runs as they restricted Hyderabad to in the second inning. 

Rahul Tripathi top-scored for Hyderabad - 44 in 30 balls with the help of five fours and a six. Nicholas Pooran took the match close with his 34 off 24 balls. 

Avesh Khan starred in Lucknow's bowling, picking four wickets in four overs for 24 runs. Krunal Pandya also got two crucial wickets in the middle overs. 

Earlier, fifties from KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda got Super Giants to 169/7 in the first inning. Captain Rahul scored 68 in 50 balls while Hooda slammed 51 in 30 balls. The duo were involved in an 87-run stand for the fourth wicket after losing three early wickets. 

For SRH, Washington Sundar, Romario Shepherd, and T Natarajan took two wickets each.
