LSG vs KKR IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants pacers & fielders put up an excellent performance as they thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders by 75 runs.
Avesh Khan & Jason Holder picked up 3 wickets each, while the other three LSG bowlers - Mohsin Khan, Dushmantha Chameera & Ravi Bishnoi managed 1 wicket each to restrict Lucknow to 101/10 in 14.3 overs to register the biggest win of the season.
For KKR, Andre Russell was the top scorer with a whirlwind 45 runs in 19 balls with 3 fours & 5 sixes. Sunil Narine contirbuted with 22 runs in 12 balls with 3 fours & a six. Apart from these two, and Aaron Finch (14), none of the other batters managed to cross the double-digit mark.
In the first innings, Quinton de Kock smacked a fifty while Hooda scored 41 runs to help Lucknow Super Giants to a total of 176/7 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
After opening the innings and losing KL Rahul for a duck in the first over, Quinton de Kock smacked 50 runs in 29 balls with 4 fours & 3 sixes while Deepak Hooda scored a fiery 41 runs in 27 balls with 4 fours & 2 sixes to help LSG post a fightable total.
In the end, Marcus Stoinis smacked 28 runs in 14 balls with a four & 3 sixes to provide excellent finishing. For KKR, Andre Russell picked up 2 wickets while Sunil Narine, Shivam Mavi & Tim Southee picked up 1 wicket.
Earlier, KKR captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss & opted to field first against LSG in the 53rd match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
