In the batter set 1 of the IPL Mega Auction 2022, 8 players went under the hammer in which Devdutt Padikkal turned out to be the most expensive player. 

The left-handed opening batter was bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 7.75 Crores. 

The next best player of the set was Manish Pandey, who was sold to Lucknow Super Giant for INR 4.6 Crore. 

Suresh Raina, David Miller, and Steve Smith went unsold in this set.
