IPL 2022 PBKS vs RCB: New captain Faf du Plessis showed his worth and firepower in his first match as skipper as he powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to a total of 205/2 against Punjab Kings. 

Faf started off slow and was at 23 runs off 34 balls at one point but he switched gears in the 12th over and was finally dismissed in the 18th over after scoring 88 runs in 57 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes. Dinesh Karthik came out to bat in the 18th over and played a quickfire knock of 32 runs in 14 balls with 3 fours & 3 sixes to provide a good finish for RCB. 

Virat Kohli also anchored the innings till the end after coming out to bat in 7th over, and finished unbeaten on 41 runs in 29 balls. 

For Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar were the only wicket-takers with 1 wicket each to their name. Earlier, Punjab Kings' captain Mayank Agarwal won the toss & opted to field first against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 3rd match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
