CSK vs KKR: Kolkata Knight Riders thrashed defending champions Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in the IPL 2022 season opener. 
Umesh Yadav shone with the ball as he picked up 2 wickets after KKR asked CSK to bat first. Consequently, CSK was restricted to 131/5 in 20 overs despite MS Dhoni's 50. 

Umesh was adjudged man of the match for picking up 2 wickets in his quota of 4 overs, giving away only 20 runs. Umesh bowled 15 dot balls, however, bowled 2 wides and a no-ball. After winning the award he said, 'Wickets in the powerplay is important. The team's role is what I carried out today. Usually I've been focusing on my rhythm. I'm thankful to my trainers for keeping me in shape.'

KKR will play their next match on March 30th against Royal Challengers Bangalore at DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai.
