SRH vs KKR IPL 2022: Rahul Tripathi came out all guns blazing against his former franchise Kolkata Knight Riders as Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 7 wickets.
Tripathi came on to bat in the 2nd over while SRH were at 3/1, chasing 176, and smashed 71 runs in 37 balls. Maintaining a strike rate of 191.89, Tripathi smacked 4 fours and 6 sixes. Markram on the other hand smacked an unbeaten 68 runs in 36 balls to take the team to the finishing line with 13 balls in hand.
For KKR, Andre Russell picked up 2 wickets while Pat Cummins managed 1 wicket.
In the first innings, Nitish Rana and Andre Russell played match-saving knocks as Kolkata Knight Riders managed to post 175/8 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Nitish Rana scored his maiden half-century of the season as he scored 54 runs in 36 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Andre Russell finished with 49 runs in 25 balls with 4 fours & 4 sixes. Apart from these two, only captain Shreyas Iyer crossed double-digit score with his 28 runs in 25 balls.
For SRH, T Natarajan picked up 3 wickets while Umran Malik picked up 2 wickets. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen and Jagadeesha Suchith picked up 1 wicket each.
Earlier, SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss & opted to bowl first against KKR in the 25th match of IPL 2022. This match is being played at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
