After Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore had the lowest remaining purse amount going into the IPL 2023 mini-auction. With their core team complete, English all-rounder Will Jacks was their most expensive buy at 3.20 crores INR, who can play as a backup to all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. 

RCB also acquired English pacer Reece Topley at 1.9 crores, who will most probably be the backup to Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood. Bangalore also went for a handful of young uncapped players, and it will be interesting to see how the franchise, who hasn't won a title yet despite making it to the finals thrice, will sort their winning combination.
