In Indian Premier League, the Purple Cap is awarded to the leading wicket-taker in the tournament. In a tie, the bowler with the superior economy rate would hold the Purple Cap.
So far, only Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Dwayne Bravo have won the Purple Cap twice. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only bowler to win a Purple cap of IPL in two consecutive seasons. He won the award in 2016 and 2017.
