Ireland will clash against Afghanistan in the 1st game of the five-match T20I series on Tuesday (9th August).
Ireland will lock horns in the first game of the five-match T20I home series against Afghanistan starting on August 09, Tuesday at Belfast.
The home team Ireland will be led by Andy Balbirnie, who will be accompanied by extremely explosive batters Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, experienced Paul Stirling, Dockrell, and Delany.
Irish bowling under Craig Young and Josh Little will be keen to perform well against the Afghans who also went impressive in the New Zealand series.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will look to get a good start by winning the first game. The visitors have come with an experienced squad in Ireland. Mohammed Nabi will lead the team which has many veteran players like Hazratullah Zazai, Najibullah Zadran, and Hashmatullah Shahidi who will take the charge to score big.
Afghanistan’s bowling is very dangerous under Rashid Khan, Fareed Ahmad Malik, and young Noor Ahmed, who are ready to exploit Ireland’s batting lineup.
Looking towards the current form of both the teams, the Ireland side will be a bit worried as they have lost their last five matches despite performing well with the bat. Whereas, Afghanistan has the momentum in their hand as they have been undefeated in their last five matches.
