In recent developments, India's lead ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Indian squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022. This is a huge blow for team India as the right-arm pacer has been a consistent performer for the team.
In 72 ODI matches, Bumrah has picked up 121 wickets in 72 matches with two 5-wicket hauls to his name. His best bowling figures in an inning read 6/19.
According to a report by PTI, the 28-year-old pacer has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury. If this happens, India's bowling would have to be led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, along with Arshdeep Singh & Avesh Khan. Earlier Harshal Patel was also reported to likely be out of the Asia Cup.
