Jaydev Unadkat garnished a lot of traction after he made his return to the Indian Test team, playing his first game since his debut in 2010. The pacer made an excellent start to his Ranji Trophy campaign while captaining Saurashtra, and picked up a hattrick in the very first over against Delhi.
Batting first, Dhruv Shorey and Ayush Badoni opened the innings for Saurashtra with Dhruv on strike. Jaydev Unadkat came on to bowl the first over for his team and bowled Dhruv Shorey for a 3-ball duck on the 3rd delivery of the over.
Vaibhav Rawal came out to bat next and was caught by Harvik Desai on his first delivery. Captain Yash Dhull came out to bat next in a tough situation with his team at 0/2 and was caught in front on his first delivery, given LBW out as Jaydev Unadkat completed a hat-trick in the very first over. This has happened for the first time in the Ranji Trophy competition.
