Chamika Karunaratne's late blitz powered Sri Lanka to 262/9 against India in the first inning of 1st ODI. 

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, the home team started off decently, scoring 55 in the first 10 overs and losing one wicket. All the batters got starts but no one could convert it into a big score. 

Captain Dasun Shanaka scored 39 before Karunaratne's late fireworks helped Sri Lanka reach a decent total of 262. He scored 19 off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the last over. 

For India, Deepak Chahar, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kuldeep Yadav shared two wickets each while the Pandya brothers got 1-1 wicket.
