CWG 2022: In the 1st semi-final of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Smriti Mandhana scored a scintillating fifty while Jemimah Rodrigues provided a responsible finish to help India to 164/5 in 20 overs against England.
Mandhana provided a thunderous opening as he completed her fifty off just 23 balls inside the powerplay. The opener was dismissed after scoring 61 runs off 32 balls with 8 fours & 3 sixes.
Jemimah Rodrigues scored an unbeaten 44 runs off 31 balls with 7 fours to help team India to a good total. For England, Freya Kemp picked up 2 wickets while Katherine Brunt and Natalie Sciver picked up 1 wicket each.
Earlier, India captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss & opted to bat first against England in the 1st semi-final of Commonwealth Games 2022. This match is being played at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
