The newly constructed Motera Stadium has been renamed after Indian Prime Minister - Narendra Modi Stadium on Wednesday. 

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the stadium before the start of the India vs England test match. 

Home minister Amit Shah and Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju were also presented during the inauguration. 

The Motera is now the world’s largest cricket stadium with a capacity of 1,32,000 spectators.
