The Kiwis will travel Bangladesh for ODI and test cricket. New Zealand will play three ODIs and two test matches in the tour scheduled to kick off on September 21. This will be New Zealand’s first Test and ODI series on Bangladeshi soil since 2013.
The tour will take place in two phases - In first phase ODI series will be played before the world cup 2023. The tour's second phase consists of a two-match Test series that will be part of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle. Boult, 34, is set to play his first 50-overs international for 12 months after being included in the 15-man squad to face England. He is one of the world's best ODI bowlers, having taken 187 wickets at that level and a further 74 for his country in Twenty20 cricket.
The Black Caps last toured Bangladesh was in 2013 for a full series. The two-match Test series was drawn, while Bangladesh secured a 3-0 win in the three-match ODI series. The Kiwis ended their tour, winning the one-off T20I.
