Seifert, along with captain Kane Williamson, added 129 runs for the second wicket to reach the target comfortably with four balls to spare. Tim Seifert smacked three sixes and eight fours during his knock while Williamson made a calm and composed 57 with the help of eight fours and a six.
Pakistan, opting to bat, scored 162 on the back of Mohammad Hafeez's career-best knock of 99*. Visitors kept losing batsman at regular intervals, which kept mounting the pressure on Hafeez. His innings came with the help of 10 fours and five sixes. The next best batsman was Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 22.
