PSL 2022: Hales, Stirling Power Islamabad To 9-Wicket Win Over Peshawar
Alex Hales and Paul Stirling's century stand set up an easy 169-run chase for Islamabad United against Peshawar Zalmi in the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League(PSL) 2022.
Hales smashed 82 runs from 54 balls while Stirling got run out after hitting 57 from just 25 balls. The opening duo was involved in a 112-run stand which came in just 9.4 overs.
Hales continued to smash the bowlers along with Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who scored 27 in 16 balls to finish the match in 15.5 overs with nine wickets in hand.
Earlier, Peshawar scored 168/6 in the first innings after being put in to bat first. Sherfane Rutherford top-scored with an unbeaten 70 from 46 balls.
