Punjab Kings have announced Mayank Agarwal as the team captain ahead of the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2022.

Mayank was one of the two retained players for Punjab ahead of the Mega Auction. He was retained for 14 crores along with Arshdeep Singh(4 crores). 

Mayank has played 100 IPL matches in which he has scored 2131 runs. He joined the Punjab franchise in 2018.
