India A captain Ajinkya Rahane scored a fighting century during the practice match against Australia A. Rahane's knock came after the team was struggling at 40/3 with both openers - Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw, and Hanuma Vihari were back to the pavilion. 

Rahane, along with Cheteshwar Pujara, steadied the ship with a 76 run partnership. Pujara, after scoring 54, was caught and India A side once again lost three quick wickets including Wridhiman Saha and R Ashwin. 

Indian vice-captain added 69 runs with spinner Kuldeep Yadav. 

Ajinkya Rahane completed his century in 205 balls which included 15 fours and a six.
