Rain Plays Spoil Sport In Decider; 3-Match ODI Series Between England & South Africa Ends In A Draw
ENG vs SA 3rd ODI - Rain played spoilsport at Headingley, Leeds, abandoning the 3rd & decider ODI between England and South Africa, ending the series 1-1.
After a short rain break in the South African innings, the innings was halted for good after 27.4 overs. South Africa were at 159/2 with Quinton de Kock nearing a thunderous hundred, going back not out on 92 runs off 76 balls with 13 fours. Aiden Markram also came back not out on 24 runs off 34 balls.
For England, David Willey and Adil Rashid managed 1 wicket each.
Earlier, South Africa captain Keshav Maharaj won the toss & opted to bat first against England in the 3rd ODI.
