A thriller match was witnessed in the Ranji Trophy game between Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu needed 144 runs to win off the last 11 overs on the Day 4 of the match. A draw was obvious but Tamil Nadu openers had different ideas and smashed Hyderabad bowlers all around.
Hyderabad captain Tanmay Agarwal was seen worried and wasted a lot of time while talking to the bowlers. Amidst all the drama, Tamil Nadu batters went all guns blazing, smoking 108 runs off just 7 overs. N Jagadeesan scored an unbeaten 60 runs in 22 balls with 8 sixes.
His partner Sai Sudharsan also scored 42 runs off 20 balls with 5 sixes before getting dismissed in the 7th over. Earlier, Tamil Nadu declared their first innings on 510/4 with Jagadeesan, Baba Aparajith and Sudharshan's tons after Hyderabad posted 395 in the first innings with centuries from Tanmay Agarwal and Mickil Jaiswal.
Hyderabad then posted 258 in the 2nd innings after Tamil Nadu enforced a follow-on. Earlier, Tamil Nadu captain Baba Indrajith won the toss & opted to bowl first against Hyderabad in the Elite Group B match. This match was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hdyerabad.
